Loftware (NiceLabel) Cloud is universally deployable. The software works with all printers that support a Windows driver. This means you can easily drive almost any label printer, inkjet printer or laser printer through the cloud.
Does Loftware make its own printer drivers?
Yes, and that is a major benefit. Loftware develops its own native printer drivers for all major brands, such as Epson, SATO, Novexx, Zebra and Honeywell. These drivers are superior to standard Windows drivers. They ensure optimal print performance, higher speeds and seamless integration with the printer hardware.
You can download the drivers for free on Loftware's driver page.
Does Loftware work with thermal label printers?
Absolutely. Loftware Cloud fully supports both thermal print technologies:
- Thermal transfer (TT): heat transfers ink from a ribbon to the label. This is the best choice for durable, wear-resistant labels.
- Direct thermal (DT): the print head directly heats the heat-sensitive label material. This is ideal for short-term applications such as shipping or price labels.
Does Loftware also support inkjet printers?
Certainly. Inkjet printers are perfect when you need labels with extra visual impact. Loftware supports both:
- Full-color label printers: for images, logos and color-coded branding.
- Small character inkjet: for printing barcodes or serial numbers directly on packaging.
Can I use an ordinary laser printer?
Yes. As long as your laser printer has a Windows driver, you can connect it to Loftware Cloud. This is often used for printing packing slips, detailed product information on letter or A4 paper, or office labels.
Managing different printers at multiple locations
Loftware Cloud is built for central management. You can easily drive different printer types at various (international) locations from one central environment. This makes the software the ideal solution for growing companies with multiple departments or sites.
