What is NiceLabel? Explanation, products and the difference with Loftware

Have you come across the name NiceLabel on a quote, in your ERP connection or on an old license? Below you can read what NiceLabel is, how it relates to Loftware and which version fits your situation.

What is NiceLabel?

NiceLabel is software that companies use to design, manage and print labels. It is used by small teams and by large international organizations. In its simplest form, it is a designer on one PC. In its extended form, it is a label management system that manages labels centrally and prints automatically from, for example, an ERP system.

What is the difference between NiceLabel and Loftware?

NiceLabel and Loftware have been one organization since 2021. The on-premise version is now called Loftware NiceLabel, and the cloud version is called Loftware Cloud. So you are not buying two competing products: it is one supplier with two ways of working.

Which NiceLabel products are there?

• Designer Express and Designer Pro: designing and printing labels at the workstation.
• PowerForms Suite: your own print screens for operators, connected to your data.
• LMS Pro and LMS Enterprise: a label management system on your own servers, with the Control Center for central management.

Does NiceLabel work in the cloud or on-premise?

Both. You install Loftware NiceLabel on your own PCs and servers. Loftware Cloud is a subscription with the Control Center running in the cloud.

Can I keep using my existing NiceLabel labels?

When you move to Loftware Cloud, existing .nlbl files keep working. Do check your printers and connections in advance.

Can NiceLabel connect to my ERP system?

Yes. Labels can get their data directly from an ERP, WMS or database, so no one needs to retype anything. You can read how that works on the page connecting label software to your ERP.
